Question 1

1(a)Dee edemede n'isiokwu a:
'Ezumike Ekeresimeesi M gara n'obodo M'.

1(b)Dee edemede kowara ilu a:
Nwanne Di na Mba'.

1(c)Dee edemede a ga - ebiputa na magazine uloakwukwo unu banyere onye i choro idi ka ya.

1(d)Deputa mkparitauka di n'etiti umuakwukwo abuo gbasara ihe ha ga acho ibu n'odinihu.

1(e)Degara enyi gi bi n'ime obodo leta, gwa ya ka 0 puta bia biri n' obodo mepere emepe.

Observation

Question 1(a).

In this question, candidates were requested to write in a narrative form on the Christmas holiday that I spent in my town.
The expected points were:

Ka obi di m inu na m. ga - ala obodo maka Ekeresimeesi.
Nkwado m mere maka ila obodo
Ka m ruru ime obodo, nnabata e nyere m.
Ebe di iche iche m jegasiri

 

Question 1(b).

In this question, candidates were given a proverb and were asked to illustrate the meaning of the proverb with a story. Those candidates who attempted this question did not understand the proverb, thereby gave a 'wrong illustration.

Question 1(c).

Here, candidates were asked to write an article to be published in their school magazine on 'Who I will want to be like.'
Most candidates attempted the question very well and gave points like;

  • ikpo aha onye ahu na odidi ya
  • ideputa ihe ndi kpatara iji choo idi ka ya dika omume ya
  • uru 0 ga - abara gi ma idi ka ya.

Question 1(d).
Candidates were requested to write a discussion by two students on what they will like to be in future.

Unfortunately, most of these candidates did not produce their answers in a dialogue form. Therefore, they scored very low marks.

Question 1(e).

The question requested candidates to write a letter to a friend staying in a rural area to migrate to an urban area.
Many candidates answered this question but few could not write up to the required number of words.
