The question, from a different perspective, tested the candidates' knowledge of Jdhiliyyah as a topic. Instead of social and religious activities which had been over flogged in the past, literary activities was the Jahiliyyah area explored this time around. The question seemed strange to the candidates who attempted it. Therefore, their performance was woeful.
