How does Rubadiri use language to portray the effects of the storm in "African Thunderstorm".

Observation

The image of clouds that are said to be hurrying with the wind signifies impatience. There is the picture of chaos and destruction. The destructive wind as compared in simile to that of Locusts. The metaphor of “pregnant clouds” suggests a heavy down pour. The "dark sinister wings" suggests evil. The language shows fear, chaos and uneasiness.
