OBSERVATION

Candidates did not find parts (a), (b) and (d) difficult as they were able to give the correct responses to those parts of the question.  However, part (c) of the question seemed extremely difficult for them.  The required responses to parts (c)(i) and (c)(ii) are:

(c)(i) Raising is the forming of deep shapes.  The process of raising contracts and thickens the metal.

(c)(ii) Planishing is done after hollowing, sinking or raising.  It is done to hardened the metal and improve its surface quality.
