observation

Majority of the candisates attempted the question.

A large number of the candidates could not interprete the question well. Such candidates wrote "A creative man who can apply such graphic design is a creative man" They produced prints by using their palms etc.
Other candidates showed their understanding on the theme. They expressed themselves as:
-the cave man invented colour from nature: white from kaolin clay; red from animal blood;
-he used natural earth ochres such as red ochre and yellow ochre, and lampblack from animal fat burnt in lamps;
-he painted animal figures believing that he would kill the real animals during his hunt;
-he invented fire by striking or rubbing two stones together for cooking;  -he sharpened hard stones to make tools and weapons.
-he made his brushes from sticks, bristles and feathers;
-he produced his clothing or other textiles from animal hides and skin;   -a large flat bone served as his palette.
