Compare Igbo-ukwu art and Ife art

Many candidates attempted this question and their performance was fairly good. Some candidates discussed Igbo-ukwu and Ife arts without making any comparison between them and lost some marks.

Candidates were expected to compare them through similarities and differences as follows:
Both are Nigerian arts. They both produce bronze works by cire perdue or lost wax method Both forms are naturalistic.

Differences
Igbo-ukwu arts are mostly utility objects with ornaments while Ife arts are mostly heads to dignify the king (court art) Igbo-ukwu arts are mostly bronzes while Ife arts are both terracotta, bronze and stone.
