Candidates were expected to use any of the following methods in fixing the seat to the underframe:
Cleats, shrinkage plates, counterboring, pocket screwing, buttoning and rebated top rails.

For any candidate to perform excellently, the following parameters must be taken into consideration when drawing:

-           border lines;
-           title block;
-           layout;
-           lettering;
-           neatness.
