These were questions which tested the candidates' skills of literary appreciation. In other words, poetical excerpts of different Iiterati were given to the candidates for literary interpretations. The above questions, as usual, were attempted by many candidates. Candidates' performance varied appreciably with the most creditable performance for candidates with very good background of Arabic.
