The candidates seemed to find in some questions on Arabic Literature difficult. This might be as a result of poor accessibility to major relevant texts in those areas, borne out of their laziness to widen their scope to search for study materials. Apart from this, they expressed other minor weaknesses such as

• commission of some grammatical blunders; conspicuous spelling mistakes;
• Violation of instructions otherwise known as rubrics.

It is therefore recommended that vigorous research training should be introduced to the candidates by their teachers and good study habit imparted, alongside effective teaching.
