The performance of the candidates was average. Despite this, they demonstrated linguistic excellence in part one of the paper which was essay writing and also displayed

(a) Good use of Arabic Grammar (Nahw and Sarf);
(b) Good appreciation of poetic excerpts given;
(c) Reasonable acquaintance with Arabic vocabularies.
