Weakness/Remedies
  1. Poor preparation for the examination, some candidates answers showed inadequate knowledge of the subject. This was evident by their poor performance in questions 10,9,8,6,5 which were on invoice, business documents, international trade and public relations respectively.
  2. Most of the candidates misunderstood the question which led to inadequate answering them out of context e.g in question 9 most candidates merely defined the documents while they were required to state the originator, the contents and the use of the documents.
    3. Poor expression, many candidates could not clearly express their points in simple sentences.
    SUGGESTED REMEDIES
    1. Adequate coverage of the examination syllabus, candidates and the teachers should endeavour to cover the examination syllabus and they should use good and quality textbook on Commerce.
    2. Candidates should acquire an indepth knowledge ofthe subject (- Commerce) by constant reading and practice. This would enable them to understand the correct requirements of questions to avoid answering them out of context.
    3. Candidates should be taught the use of English Language so as to improved their expressions hence enabling them to make their points clear enough.
