In question 2a they were asked to sketch a drafted pattern of a trouser showing the lines and labels. Candidates drew pictures of a trouser instead of a drafted block. They could not label the part of crease line, waist line, crotch and hem line.
In 2b the candidates focused on areas of measurement of a short and trouser instead of identifying the position of the crotch and write the steps to take the measurement. .The candidates that attempted the question recorded mass failure.
