The candidates’ performance was poor in questions 2 and 4 which were on sketching and labelling a drafted pattern for a trouser and identifying the features in a sketched skirt style. These questions were poorly answered.

• The candidates should be exposed and taught the difference between a drafted pattern and pictures of garments
• Pre-test should be Carried out to know the readiness of the students to write this new subjects
• Availability of textbooks for this new subjects should be ensured
• Qualified teachers should be employed to handle the new subjects
•  workshops  should be organized for the new subjects
