- On the sketch map, show and name one important town in each of the mining areas indicated in 4 (a) i – iii above.
- In what five ways has the exploitation of minerals contributed to the economy of Nigeria.

This was a popular question among the candidates and their performance was just fair. Many drew poor outline maps of Nigeria and poorly sited the required minerals. The locations of the mining towns were also poorly done by many of the candidates who answered the question. Many of the candidates who answered the question were able to mention the ways in which the exploitation of minerals has contributed to the economy of Nigeria. |
