Observation

This question was attempted by many candidates and their performance was fair.  In part (a)(i) candidates correctly listed sprint races in athletics,  in (a) (ii) candidates also stated instances when an athlete could be disqualified in 100m race, in (a)(iii) candidates also listed materials needed by officials during an athletic meet.  In part (b)(i) candidates correctly named officiating officials during track events in athletics, in (b)(ii) candidates also stated rules common to sprint races  in athletics.  In part (c) candidates correctly listed phases involved in high jump event.

 

However, the expected answers were as follows:
