Observation

 

   Most candidates were able to:
-           explain private and public enterprise in business organisation;
-           list three types of bank account that can be operated by a small-scale entrepreneur.
-           List three types of record kept in a plumbing business

 However, some candidates were unable to:

• explain the role of client and contractor.

 The required response to question 1 (d) (i) and (ii) is given below.

The role of each of the following personnel in a contract:

1. Client- A client is an entity that has the need that defines the project objective, schedule and dedicated budget. The expected result of the project is the creation of a product called work

2. Contractor- is an entity hired by the client to carry out the work under the terms and subject to the date lines, quality and cost provision determined by the latter pursuant to a contract. The contractor is therefore responsible for the technical choice inherent in the performance of the work in accordance with the client requirements
