(a) (i) This question was not popular among candidates. Most candidates named
other birds that lay eggs like duck, turkey instead of breeds of chicken birds.
(ii) It was observed that most candidates were able to mention ways in which
specimen T is economically important.
(b) (i) In providing answers to methods used in harvesting fish, it is worth pointing
out that writing only net as a method is not correct as mosquito nets cannot
be used for fishing. However candidates were able to correctly state the by-

preserving specimen U(Tilapia fish) as required in (ii) and (iii) respectively.
