CANDIDATES' WEAKNESS

The candidates, however, could not adequately answer the questions asked on:
-         uses of ball pein hammer;
-         why automobile clutch is fitted between the engine and the
          gearbox;
-         quality precautions observed when replacing brake pad;
-         parts and functions of propeller shaft;
-         parts and functions of telescopic damper and
-         functions of some carburetor parts.

      SUGGESTED REMEDIES FOR OVERCOMING THE WEAKNESSES

Candidates were urged to study every item contained in their syllabus. Teachers were also advised to teach their students the functions of some basic parts of units in automobile systems.
