General Comments

The standard of the paper was good and compared favourably well with those of previous years. The marking scheme was well prepared and of good quality.

The performance of candidates this year was poorer than that of last year with a raw mean score of 11 and standard deviation of 5.10 compared to a raw mean score of 26 and standard deviation of 11.27 for WASSCE for PC 2016. The total number of candidates that sat the examination was 157,060.
