General comments on the paper as a whole

The standard of the paper was high and compared favourably with those of previous years. The questions were well framed and rubrics were clear. The marking scheme was exhaustive and adequate.

The performance of candidates this year with a raw mean score of 31 and standard deviation of 9.43 was slightly better than that of WASSCE for SC, 2018 with a raw mean score of 31 and standard deviation of 9.00 of WASSCE for SC, 2018. The total number of candidates that sat the examination was 1,086,449.
