Weakness and Remedies
The following weaknesses were observed from the candidates’ response
- failure to understand that cross section is different from pictorial drawing;
- failure to understand that properties is different from uses;
- failure to explain how 3: 4 : 5 is used to obtain the right angle corner of a
building.
To overcome these weaknesses, candidates should be well exposed to:
- different drawing and sketches, that has to do with cross section, pictorial and orthographic projection by giving them class work and assignment regularly;
- the review of past question papers to help them be familiar with the format;
- setting out practically to see how it is done on the site apart from teaching them in the classroom;
- a chart illustrating the cross section should be pasted in a conspicuous place in their classrooms.
