The candidates were not favourably disposed towards this question and those
who attempted it did not do well. They were required to state Paul’s
teaching on humility in his letter to the Philippians. Majority of them dwelt
much on preaching the Gospel and failed to write on the following points:
(i) Christians should, in humility count others better than themselves.
(ii) Christ thought in form of God; did not exalt himself.
(iii) But emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, born in the likeness of men.
(iv) That they should love one another.
In the (b) part of the question they applied residual knowledge, by mentioning that love of money, criminal acts, apostasy, greed are some causes of
conflict among Christians and this earned them some marks. |
