This question was answered by a reasonable number of candidates but many candidates did not follow the logical sequence inherent in the question. Most of the candidates did not mention the introductory part, e.g. the death of Christ, burial and his resurrection on the third day.
Paul’s argument to defend the resurrection of Christ was poorly handled. The arguments presented in support were scanty and the marks were generally low. The vital points expected of them are:
- If there is no resurrection, their preaching and faith are in vain;
- As in Adam all dies, so in Christ shall all be made alive;
- At the last trumpet, there dead will be raised imperishable.
In the (b) part of the question, they were able to present the required points and this added to their overall marks.
