This was not a popular question among the candidates and the few that answered it misinterpreted it to be the feeding of the 5,000. They mix-up the story and wrote irrelevancies which eventually led to their low marks. They were expected to write the following points to fetch them some marks:
- They thought Jesus was one whom Moses prophesied about;
- He said they were following him because of bread;
- Jesus told them not to labour for food that perishes but the food that gives eternal life
- The crowd misunderstood Jesus message because they still thought of bread in physical terms;
But the (b) part of the question fetch them few marks because they were able to mention some of the spiritual needs of man like love, peace, faith, holiness, etc.
