Observation

This question was less popular among the candidates. In the part a, most candidates answered this question from their own sociological perspective by preaching and rather than answering the questions as outlined by Peter. In the part a, candidates were not able to identify the expectation of how Christians should relate with the government. They were talking about social obligations of a citizen from a civic perspective e.g obeying traffic regulations, paying taxes etc. The part B was less challenging as candidates were able to list the blessings associated with being a responsible citizen. For those who missed out, candidates should have stated that;

i. A good citizen is one who is law abiding and who has respect for constituted authorities.
ii. He is one who performs his civic duties and responsibilities promptly.
iii. In his teaching, Peter said a good citizen is one who for the sake of God submits himself to every human authority.
iv. He respects the emperors who have been appointed
. v. God appointed these leaders to punish evil doers and praise those who do the right thing.
vi. By doing good deeds, the good citizen puts to shame the ignorance of foolish men.
vii. Such a citizen lives as a freeman without using his freedom to condone evil.
viii. The good citizen should honor all men.
ix. He/she should love the brotherhood of Christians.
x. He/she is to fear God.
