This question was one of the candidates’ weaknesses. In 4 (a), candidates could not mention the four parts of salad and same went for 4 (b) where they were unable to list the ingredients used in mayonnaise preparation. In 4 (c) candidates were to state the points to consider when making stock but they misinterpreted the question and stated points such as the requirements for making stock and the procedures for preparing stock.
