General Comments

The standard of the paper was high, and compared favourably with those of the previous years. The questions were in line with those of the previous years, and within the scope of the examination syllabus. It was reported that candidates performance in the subject improved significantly.

The raw mean score of 47 and standard deviation of 16.00 `indicated that the performance of the candidates was better than WASSCE for school candidates, 2016 with a raw mean score of 43 and standard deviation of 15.36. A total of 704,494 candidates sat for the paper.
