General Comments
The standard of the paper was high and compared favourably with those of previous years. The questions were within the scope of the examination syllabus. The rubrics were clear and unambiguous. The marking scheme was detailed, comprehensive, clear and fair to all candidates.
The raw mean score of 12.0 and standard deviation of 6.93 indicated that the performance of the candidates was worse than that of NOV/DEC WASSCE (PRIVATE), 2017 with a raw mean score of 18.0 and standard deviation of 8.12. A total of 54,277 candidates sat the examination.
