CANDIDATES' WEAKNESSES
Candidates:
- had poor knowledge of significant figures;
- could not deduce correct inferences from observations;
- lacked practical experience;
- were not familiar with laboratory apparatus;
- used wrong units.
The following remedies were however suggested.
Candidates should:
- be familiar with the examination syllabus;
- improve on their study habit;
- learn how to deduce inferences from observations made in qualitative analysis;
- improve on their arithmetic skills e.g addition and significant figures.
