Weakness and Remedies
The weaknesses of the candidates are as follows:
- inability to write a balanced equation for the reaction between the acid and base;
- inability to calculate the concentration of a given solution in gdm-3;
- use of wrong units.
- inability to deduce correct inferences from the observations in qualitative analysis;
- inability to state the uses of activated charcoal.
suggested Remedies
The following remedies were however suggested:
- candidates should be familiar with the examination syllabus;
- candidates should improve on their study habit;
- candidates should be familiar with separation techniques.
