BENEFIT OF YOUTH EMPOWERMENT SKILLS

1. Creation of Job opportunities: youth empowerment creates job opportunities and the enabling environment for the teaming youths to improve on the intellectual and manipulative skills, such as black smiting, weaving hair dressing, computer operators, hand-set repairs and block molding, e.t.c.
2. Re-orientation and dignity of Labour: many Nigerian youths throughout the federation, have benefited in one way or the other from the changing re-orientation of the youth’s social values in our society, such as hard work, discipline, honesty, Integrity, patriotism, sense of oneness and selfless service through the National Orientation Agency (NOA) as part of youth empowerment.
3. Creation of Wealth: Youths are gainfully employed and become resourceful in any chosen skills or work that keep them busy and when they are fulfilled, they make wealth out of it.
4. Poverty Reduction: Youth empowerment keeps youth to engage in business or any meaningful activities that enable them to earn income to cater for their everyday needs.
5. Reduction in Crime Rates: the introduction of youth empowerment and the establishment of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) by the Federal Government are being used to tackle and arrest youth restiveness, reduce armed robbery, hunger, kidnapping, prostitution, ritual killing and other social hues in the society.
