Candidates were required to
(a) Explain the following word as used in clothing construction with reference to colour (tint, shade and hue).
(b). Draw a showing how to place the following pattern pieces on a plain fabric(front skirt, back bodices and back skirt).
(c) List different textures of fabric.
OBSERVATION
Majority of the candidates were unable to answer all the questions in 5(a, b & c) correctly.
Therefore candidates performed woeful in these questions. The expected answers are: Tint: colour produced when white is added to a hue (basic colour). Shade Colour produced when black is added to a hue (basic colour). Hue: refers to the names of colours e.g. red, brown, green, yellow.
