importance of patchwork in Clothing and Textiles and the difference between applique and
patchwork very well.

(v)Differentiate between applique and patchwork
1. Applique is applying one fabric cut into shapes or designs onto another
fabric, whereas patchwork is using scraps of fabrics cut into geometric
shapes such as triangles, hexagons, diamonds, and rectangles and joined
attractively together.

Patchwork can be used to produce large articles by itself, whereas applique
can only be placed on large articles repeatedly.
