Observation
(a) An informal letter to your father who resides in Abuja requesting for your school fee. Most of the candidates that attempted this question did very well.
(b) This is an argumentative essay on: Male child is better than female child. Candidates limited their points to one part instead of mentioning the pros and cons of male/female, thereby limiting their scores to 50%
(d) A descriptive essay on a popular market in candidates’ home towns. The few candidates that attempted this question performed fairly.
(e) This is an expository essay on the topic: Always save towards the rainy day. The essay required a philosophical view but most of the candidates that attempted it did not live up to expectations.
(ẹ) This is a narrative essay that required the candidates to give a vivid account of a judgement delivered in the High Court, Benin. No candidate attempted this question, probably due to lack of exposure.
