The standard of the paper was high, and compared favourably with those of previous years. It was reported that the paper was of international standard. The questions covered all the contents of the examination syllabus. The raw mean score of 38.0 and standard deviation of 17.18 indicates that the performance of the candidates was better than school candidates 2016, with a raw mean score of 30.0 and standard deviation of 17.49. 7,359 candidates sat forthe paper.
