General Comments

The standard of the paper compared favourably with previous years. The performance of candidates compares favourably with those of previous years. The questions were well structured and of good quality. The performance of candidates has a slight improvement as compared to previous years. The questions covered all the contents of the examination syllabus. The questions were well framed in simple language. The rubrics were not ambiguous and the marking schemes were quite clear and detailed.

The raw mean score of 38.0 and standard deviation of 14.00 with candidature of 6301 indicated that the performance of the candidates was higher than WASSCE for School Candidates, 2018, which recorded a raw mean score of 35.0 and standard deviation of 14.25 with candidature of 6822.
