Candidates' Weakness

The Chief Examiner reported that majority of the candidates were unable to handle questions that were relatively ‘new’ especially the ones from topics outside those typical of previous papers. One of such is application type of questions on multivibrator.

(b) Suggested Remedy

The suggested remedies are that candidates should:

1. be better prepared under the supervision of competent instructors;
2. be more familiar with different requirements of responses to questions- ‘recall’, ‘application of principles’, numerical solution of simple questions;
3. have a wider coverage of the syllabus.
