Observation

As the main speaker in a school debate, the candidate was required to write his/her argument for or against the motion: “The youth of today have more distractions in their education than their parents had.”

Not many candidates attempted this question. But the few that attempted it got the format of a debate. They started with the vocatives and spoke on either side to convince their audience. Though some candidates did not bring the comparison, they rather dwelt on the various distractions that are available to the youth of today.
