Observation
This question was fairly attempted by the candidates. Majority of the candidates could
mention the sources of water for fish farming but they could not state the ways of preventing pesticides from contaminating fish pond water as required in 6(a) and 6(b) respectively.
Finally, most of the candidates were able to list the agents of fish marketing but they could not state the differences between sexually mature male and female catfish as required in 6(c-d).
The expected answers were:

- Ponds should be sited away from agricultural lands.
- There should be trees and other vegetative cover between ponds and treated fields / Creation of buffer zone.
- Build topographic barriers to drift off run-off water from treated field.
- Educate fish farmers in the use of pesticides.
- Enforcement of regulations in the use of pesticides.
- Construction of channels for run-off.
