The question was popularly answered by the candidates but their performance in the (a) component was poor because they could not draw good sketch maps. They performed better in the (b) and (c) components of the question. However, some of the candidates merely listed the points that were answers to the (c) component of the question. Trees listed as answers to the (b) component of the question included sapele wood, African walnut, okoume, ebony, mahogany, iroko/odum and obeche.
The contributions of forest vegetation to the economic development of Nigeria were:
