Observation

This was a very popular question among the candidates and their performance was good.
They were able to state the types of mountains namely block, fold, volcanic and residual mountains.  Many of them were able to state the uses of mountains but some could not outline the problems caused by mountains notably:

• barrier to communication                         
• hinders human settlement
• promote soil erosion
• barrier to transportation
• some mountain soils are infertile
• encourage landslide.
• volcanic eruption
• impedes mechanized farming
