Rubuta jawabi mai ma’ana da kyakkyawar Hausa, wanda tsawonsa bai gaza kalma xari uku (300) ba, a kan xaya daga cikin waxannan:
(a) Matsalolin noma a qasar nan.
(b) Illolin rashin ilimi ga al’umma.
(c) A ra’ayinka, wa ya fi ba da gudunmuwa a tsakanin sarakuna da attajirai?
(d) Rubuta wasiqa zuwa ga shugaban qaramar hukumarku, ka gode masasaboda ayyukan da ya yi na inganta rayuwar al’umma, a karkararku.
(e) Iya gani, iya qyalewa.
Observation
(a) The problems of agriculture in Nigeria. This is an expository essay in which the candidates were required to highlight the major factors that are affecting agriculture in Nigeria. Insufficient supply of chemical fertilizer, lack of good roads, rural-urban migration, insurgency among other factors that were expected to have been highlighted by the candidates. The candidate’s performance on this question was good.
(b) The impact of ignorance on the community. In this question, candidates were required to enumerate the impact of ignorance on a community. It brings about under development in so many aspects of life such as the economy, health, security, education, etc. A reasonable number of candidates attempted the question and their performance was commendable.
(c) An argumentative essay on: Who is most relevant in terms of human empowerment between the traditional rulers and the merchants in the community. Most of the candidates that attempted this question limited themselves to one part instead of mentioning pros and cons of both traditional rulers and the merchants, thereby limiting their scores to 50%.
(d) A formal letter to one’s local government chairman, appreciating him for the development projects he had executed in their rural area. Most of the candidates that attempted the question performed well.
(e) A proverbial essay on: What God has joined, should not put asunder. It was adequately addressed.
