Observation

This question was attempted by majority of the candidates and their performance was good. In part (a) most candidates listed materials needed in first Aid of wounds, but wrong spellings
made few candidates to lose marks in it. In part (b) majority of candidates were able to outline two/three points in it.

2. Steps involved in the First Aid Treatment of nose bleeding

   
   
   • let the victim sit on a chair/convenient place where he can get air.
   
   
   • tilt the head forward to prevent flow of blood into the brain.
   
   
   • pinch the nose to stop bleeding.
   
   
   • loosen the collar/tight clothes around the neck.
   
   
   • remove blood with cotton wool from nostrils.
   
   
   • if bleeding continues, send the victim to the doctor/hospital.
