General Comments

The standard of the paper compared favourably with those of previous years. The questions were straight forward and also covered a wide range of the syllabus. The marking scheme was exhaustive and flexible.

The performance of the candidates was poorer than the previous year with candidates population of 1,259 which had a raw mean score of 27 and standard deviation of 10.95 as against the WASSCE for the Private Candidates 2017 which had a candidates population of 2,039 with a raw mean score of 31 and standard deviation of 11.66.
