Observation
This question was attempted by majority of the candidates and their performance was poor.
In part (a) some candidates could not correctly define health record. In part (b) (i) and (ii) majority of the candidates did not do well in it. In part (c) many candidates did not know department that keeps the statistics of patients in the hospital.
The expected answers are as follows:
1(a) HEALTH RECORD
It is the keeping of health information about patients in a community in the hospital1for
a clinical treatment which contain their names/age/sex/ previous health and nature of ailment.
(b)(i) EXPLANATION OF TERMS IN RELATION TO HEALTH
Birth Rate
It is the total number of life babies born/given birth to; per 1000 people; in a particular
period of time/at a given time.
(ii) Vital Statistics
These are records/measurement of health related indices such as birth rate, death rate, marriage, divorce, mortality rate/named.
