Weakness and Remedies
The observed weaknesses of the candidates include:
- - inability to state the required number of environmental friendly refuse disposal methods;
- - inability to state functions of the plasma membrane;
- - inability to describe the direct transmission of communicable diseases;
- - use of poor grammar to express explanation of terms;
- - inability to state the effects of low secretion of thyroxin in humans;
- - inability to state the differences of venous bleeding and arterial bleeding;
- - inability to explain genotype, compatibility and partner’s background in relation to courtship.
The following remedies were suggested to overcome these weaknesses:
- - standard text books should be used to study;
- - candidates should cover the syllabus before taking the examinations;
- - candidates should improve on their written English;
- - candidates should try as much as possible to spell properly;
- - candidates should read and understand a question properly before attempting it;
- - candidates should read and adhere to instructions;
- - candidates should study past questions and Chief Examiner’s Report;
- - candidates should avoid copying answers.
