Observation
Candidates who attempted this question did not do satisfactorily well as they were not concise in their responses. In 7(a)(i), candidates were able to explain what an accident is. In 7(b)(i),(ii) and(iii), many candidates provided wrong answers . Majority of the candidates were able to answer questions 7(c) and (d).

(c)(i) Roughage
Roughage is any food item that contains cellulose; which is largely indigestible; and therefore remain in the bowel to aid bowel movement.
(ii) Balanced Diet
A balanced diet is a meal/food ration that contains all nutrients required by the body; for repairs; growth and energy; as well as for healthy maintenance and protection of the body.
(d) Functions of water in the body
- It carries digested food and oxygen to all parts of the body
- It transports waste products to excretory organs
- All secretions in the body function in water solution
- Aids digestion and other chemical processes
- Keeps body tissues soft and flexible/prevent dehydration
- Regulates body temperature
