WEAKNESS/REMEDIES

The candidates’ weaknesses include their inability to
- attempt question that deals with diagram and function of the labelled parts
- express themselves adequately in English Language
- understand the questions asked
- make drawing of a typical thoracic vertebra and label fully.
- state differences between a typical cervical vertebra and a thoracic vertebra.
- classify the following bones as axial or appendicular skeleton: scapula, ribs clavicle and femur
- explain the following functions of the liver (i) deamination (ii)detoxification
(iii) heat production
- state causes of fire outbreak in industries
- list first aid items required for snake bite
- define school health programme
- state components of the school health programme
- outline ways by which school accident could be minimized.
The following remedies were suggested to overcome the weaknesses:
Candidates should
- cover examination syllabus before the commencement of the examination
- candidates should be taught by qualified teacher in the subject area
- candidates should make drawing and labeling of diagrams as habit in learning.
