Adjustment - Adolescence is a stage of adjustment to new changes in
physical, emotional and social growth.
Status - It is a stage of transition from childhood to adulthood.
They are confused as to where they belong.
Independence - At this stage, they crave for recognition and want to be
seen as being capable to solve their own problems.
Need for achievement - It is a stage when adolescents struggle for
achievement to assert themselves.
Physical needs - Growth at this stage is rapid therefore they eat a lot to
sustain the rapid growth. They outgrow their clothes.
Emotional problem - Adolescents grow moody and withdrawn at this
stage. They may be emotionally unstable.
