The walls: They are constructed with concrete block or wood. They
are either plastered and/or painted.
The roof: The roof of a modern house is built with any of the
following corrugated iron sheets, cement, tiles and asbestos. The roof is then ceiled. The ceiling can be made of plaster of paris,
Painted or lacquered wood.
The floor: The floors can be finished with concrete, wood, vinyil,
tiles, terrazzo or marble. They can be covered with rugs, carpets,
linoleum or mats.
The rooms: A modern house usually has the following rooms; the
sitting room, dinning, kitchen, bed rooms, toilet and bathroom. Some may have visitors' room and study.
Windows and Doors: The modem house has doors made of wood
and steel frames with glass panes. Windows may be finished with
louver blades or sliding glass panels. Metal burglary proof bars may
be fitted for security purposes. Mosquito nets are also fitted to
prevent the entrance of insects.
